Overview
Referrals are required for Medicare rebated sessions:
Dr Deberea Sherlock is a Medicare Provider for Medical Specialist (Paediatricians and Psychiatrists) and General Practitioner (GP) Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) referrals. Medicare Australia must receive a claim for your GP-MHCP or Specialist Medical service before clients can access Medicare rebated psychology services. Medicare rebates are available for a range of specified health conditions.
Private Health Insurance:
You may be able to claim a rebate for sessions through your Private Health cover. Please contact your health insurance provider to determine if you qualify for benefits with your specific policy. Private Health rebates can only be claimed if you are not already accessing a Medicare rebate for the service.
No MHCP referral or Private Health cover:
You can still access services, but you do not receive a rebate through Medicare or Private Health.
Fees
Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy
Developmental Support for Children’s cancellation policy was developed knowing that when appointments are booked, that time is reserved especially for you and your child. We require 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring a cancellation fee. This enables us to offer your allocated time to other clients on our wait list. Cancellation can be made by phone call, email, or message via our website.
Cancellation fees:
Less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a $50 fee
Less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attendance will incur full session fee
Cancellation fees are to be paid prior to the next scheduled appointment. On occasions families arrive late for appointments. These appointments will finish at the appointed time and will be charged the full session fee.
Medicare or Private Health rebates do not apply to cancellation fees.
Developmental Support for Children trusts that you understand the professional and business need for this policy.

NDIS reports are charged in accordance with the NDIS hourly rate.
